Wed 10 Dec 2003 15:13. Skoda - remote control batteries - Edward. On my 2000 Octavia, use a small screwdriver in the little slot under the Skoda badge to remove the key. Then use the screwdriver to open out the two clips and seperature the two halves of the transmitter. Then carefully lever out the batteries.
DeanVRS20VT. You're right, flip the key open and there is a groove, if you've got a good grip you can actually just pull them apart. Once they're seperated, look at the front of housing and you'll see a rubber gasket, simply put something in there gently and twist it open. Again, you can use your hands it it will open.
Posted 2 November, 2023 (edited) I’ve had the same issue last week with cr2025 on my normal (non kessy) keys. Car put the “replace key battery” message on but key was still working ok. I changed it for a new cr2025 which I had that, like yours, was still within lifespan date on the packet. It locked the doors once then didn’t work, I
